Lexington Offers Discount to Patients Who Switch from Hair Loss Drugs to HairMax LaserComb

Lexington International, a manufacturer of home use laser phototherapy medical devices, announced a new discount purchase program called SWITCH program for its HairMax LaserComb product used by patients suffering from hereditary hair loss.

HairMax LaserComb is used to treat the most common kind of alopecia -- androgenic alopecia -- in men and women. The laser based treatment is a better alternative to oral treatment as it does not result in serious side effects like those caused by the use of certain hair loss treatment drugs such as Propecia.

The phototherapy device is a proven laser treatment of certain classes of hereditary hair loss. It also promotes hair growth in both men and women. The product is available in three models -- Advanced 7, the Premium 9, and the Pro 12.

The SWITCH program is aptly launched to encourage users of hair loss drugs to "switch" to harmless laser therapies. Several recent reports have been released warning against the use of hair loss drugs that contain finasteride. These drugs are suspected to cause sexual dysfunction in men. It may also lead to prostate cancer, according to recent reports.

Leonard Stillman, director of Professional Services at Lexington said, "While the incidence of sexual side effects with Propecia has not been fully quantified, many men now taking the drug are concerned and have discussed with their physician their desire to discontinue the drug. The HairMax LaserComb offers a non-drug option instead, which is a safe and effective alternative to oral drugs for the treatment of hereditary hair loss"

Lexington suggests if any men who are taking oral drugs are concerned about the potential side effects, they could discuss the issue with their physician. Based on the opinion of the physician, if they want to switch to HairMax LaserComb, they can order the product and receive $25.00 to $50.00 off of the purchase price depending on the model.

While the incidence of these side effects has not been firmly established, these and other reports have created much concern and anxiety amongst many men taking the drug.

Lexington argues HairMax LaserComb is clinically proven as an effective remedy for certain types of hereditary hair loss in men and women. The product has been successfully tested in seven clinical studies with 460 subjects where over 93 percent of subjects experienced hair growth.

According to Lexington, "The HairMax LaserComb models are indicated to treat Androgenetic Alopecia, and promote hair growth in males who have Norwood Hamilton Classifications of IIa to V and in females who have Ludwig (Savin) I-4, II-1, II-2, or frontal patterns of hair loss and who both have Fitzpatrick Skin Types I to IV."

Further the company claims HairMax LaserComb is the only laser phototherapy medical device with FDA marketing Clearance for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (pattern baldness) in both men and women.

HairMax LaserComb hair loss solutions are not found to cause any serious side effects in clinical studies. The product is recommended to be used three times a week for 8-15 minutes per session. Results will be visible in as little as 12 weeks. The company also announces a 20 week money back guarantee (less a restocking charge).
