Tips to Slow Hair Loss

While hair loss is something that happens naturally to everyone each day - what's normal, and what's not is significantly important in whether or not you should start treating your hair better. A few shredded strands a day is the normal process for our hair follicles, but giant clumps at a time is an issue.

While there could be a number of underlying causes for the hair loss there are some fixes that can be made in your daily routine that could help slow or even stop your hair loss.

One of the most important things to first do is examine your hair and you scalp. Is it really thin and brittle and dry to the touch? If so - then your hair is in a constant fragile state and very susceptible to breakage and hair loss. To help combat this its recommended that you use shampoos, conditioners and leave in treatments (even homemade remedies like coconut oil masks will do) to help add moisture back into your locks and your scalp and help stimulate hair growth.

If you notice you hair is instead quite greasy, then it’s important to choose shampoos and other hair products formulated for this type of hair so that you are not adding more grease and further worsening the condition. Having hair that is too greasy can cause the pores to remain enlarged and hair loss to occur. Again, at home remedies will work just as good - so no need to go spend lots of money on different potions and formulas. Some at home remedies that are said to help with greasy hair and scalp include the use of lemon juice, tea and henna.
