More Women Report Hair Loss
Bald men have become a norm in society today with actors like Vin Diesel setting the mark for sexiness, even if there is no hair on their head. But women, who also suffer from hair loss issues, haven’t been afforded a chance to also embrace beauty when they have no hair on their heads. Because options like wigs that look natural can mask this problem in women, many overlook the fact that are women suffering too. And that number is growing as our stress levels increase and we mistreat our precious locks.
According to a report published by Mail Online, a clinic in London has said it’s seeing an 82 percent increase women opting for hair transplants in the first eight months of this year.
Options for hair transplant are becoming more available and information on topic is helping both men and women to come forth and no longer hide behind the issue.
Common hair transplant proceeds use the practice of FUE, or follicular unit extraction, to take grafts of hair from an area of the patient that is growing hair properly and transplants it into the bald problem area so it will continue to have hair growth in that same area again.
This type of procedure has become the best known and practiced for both men and women looking to reverse problems with balding and hair loss.
For women, the problem of hair loss can be hereditary, but can also be caused by mis-treating the hair with rough and careless styling and stressful additions like extensions and that can put pressure on the hair follicles and cause them to break, or worse. If you’re a woman lucky enough to not have experienced hair loss in your life - take note and be careful before you start dying and frying your mane - it might just lead to an unfavorable outcome.
