Superstars Can’t hide from Hair Loss Either

We constantly hear news on the media about the latest beauty and fashion trendsetters to walk the red carpet and make front page covers of the hottest magazines. But we seldom hear stories about the ways these same super stars are taking drastic measures to keep up with the appearance that has gained them the attention.

When it comes to harmful treatment of the hair - from coloring and over styling with heat and toxic products - the end result isn’t pretty.

Naomi Campbell is one super model who just last year admitted to the media that she was suffering from a type of alopecia/baldness caused by wearing weaves for so many years.

It looks like the media has now turned their attention of hot pop artist Rihanna who they say might be doing too much damage to her hair.

RadarOnline recently ran an article that quoted Tatiana Karelina, a hair extension expert who claims Rhianna’s latest photos show she might be experiencing hair loss.

This, Karelina things, is because of all of the over styling and hair-so changes she has done over the last few years.

The medical condition for this type of hair loss is “traction alopecia” and can occur when someone is putting too much stress on the hair follicles, such as the case is with hair weaves and extensions that are sewn tightly into the persons hair.

If you like to rock the long locks and want a thick long mane that your own head cannot naturally grow, the safest bet is to get your weave installed by a professional who knows the proper techniques for applying these oftentime heavy locks. Your scalp and your self-esteem will thank you.
