Former Beauty Pageant Winner Offers Support, Advice for Women Suffering with Hair Loss
Women suffering from hair loss are not always the first spokespeople we hear about when the topic is raised. For years, men were the focus when it came to hair loss issues, but women are also suffering from this issue and more and more people in the spotlight are coming forward to share their stories in hopes of helping women to cope.
2010 Miss Delaware, Kayla Martell herself suffered with hair loss due to alopecia when she was just six years old. She was able to overcome challenges and still competed to win 2010 Miss Delaware and was a top finalist in the 2011 Miss America Pageant.
Martell will be present at an upcoming seminar in January in Syracuse, NY that will be dedicated to offering advice and counseling for women who are suffering from medical forms of hair loss.
Attends will receive a free hair and scalp analysis during a confidential consultation at the event as well.
Jeanine Stevenson, co-owner of Genesis II Hair Replacement Center which is hosting the event said, "We welcome Kayla Martell to our office and joining us in our fight against women's hair loss. Kayla will be here to share her story and help educate women that they are not alone in this battle and that there are many solutions now available."
Martell has become the official spokesmodel for Gemtress,a provider of women’s hair loss solution including handmade wig collections and head augmentation systems, which she used and then wanted to share her story with the world.
