Meditation for Hair Loss

Stress, toxins, heredity, we hear it all the time. These factors are having a toll on all of us - on our health and how we age. More and more people today are trying to get healthy and reverse any ill effects by taking better care of what they put in their bodies and how much stress they allow into their lives.

Yoga has played a key role in the lives of many who are looking to get fit and improve their stress levels. Now it’s being said that this exercise can also help combat hair loss.

Hair loss affects both men and women across the board and is something that takes a toll on one’s self esteem as they age and more hair falls out. Remedies like topical treatments and even hair transplants are possibilities, but for some going a more holistic route can be all thats  needed.

A recent post by Yahoo! Lifestyle India highlights 9 Yoga Asanas that could help stop hair loss.

These yoga moves include forward bending poses which enhance blood circulation. As they head is bent in the forward pose, the areas most usually affected by hair loss, like the crown region of the scalp are getting that blood circulation going. Once the circulation is kicking in, it's also bringing nourishment to the roots and strengthening the hair from the follicle to reduce hair loss.

The downward facing dog is one post that's commonly used to improve circulation as well as relieve depression and insomnia.  And Utthanasana - also known as the standing forward pose can improve your stress levels as well.  All which play a role in hair loss issues.

If you’ve been battling hair loss issues, yoga and eating healthier might just be the secret to your wishes.
