Young Women Are More Stressed Today, Suffering Hair Loss

Women today have come leaps and bounds in their fight for equal rights in the workforce and the world. While there is still lots of room for improvement and fairness, the current successes have not been without a battle.

Women today are in the work world, climbing the ladders, earning the higher incomes, and taking care of home. But as these “Wonder Women” do so, they are also creating much more stress and this can take a toll on their well being, and even their hair line.

Recent reports show that women are so stressed out they are now starting to lose their hair even as early as their 20s and many are admitting to suffering from hair loss and thinning hair as a result of all the stress they are undergoing in the workplace.

In this economy and high pressure work world, its unfair to say anyone is less or more stressed than the other but at least a sixth of women who were surveyed  in a L’Oreal Professionnel poll of 2,000 adults, said they already have experience hair loss by their 30th birthday with 8 percent saying they saw this already happening by the time they were 25 and an 2.5 percent even admitting to this occurring before they even turned 20 years old.

A main culprit found in the survey responses when it came to greater hair loss for both men and women was being a high-earner in the workforce.
