Help with Hair Loss
The world is a crazy, stressful place - most of the time. Regardless of your profession or how you spend your 24hrs. there is a lot to do, and so little time to do it. This ‘get as much as you can get done as fast as you can’ mentality, is one we’ve all adapted to. Our new gadgets and technologies may make us more efficient and capable of handling these tasks better- but its not helping our stress levels - and our health is suffering.
You don’t have to appear a mess on the outside to be a mess. All of this stress can take a toll on you in different ways - and for many - it can be through hair loss.
If you’re noticing more clumps than usual in your hair brush or your pony tail seems less thick - its time to start re-assessing your stress levels. Here are some easy things you can do to help with stress levels and possibly curb hair loss - that you can incorporate into your everyday routine.
Get More Sleep
We hear time and time again, that getting in a good night’s rest can have numerous benefits on your health and even your productivity throughout the day. With top cable shows making their debuts soon for the upcoming season, and the habit many of us have adapted to sitting on our mobile devices and apps in bed until we fall asleep - its time to reassess how you are resting.
Put down the device. You can spend some time catching up with pals on social media and decompressing after work if its what makes you happy. But budget that time in wisely and learn to set the device down after a solid hour or so to move on to other tasks or shutting down for the night. You’ll notice a difference fast.
Technology like DVRs are a great thing. It means you don't have to stay up all night to watch a full episode of the TV show you’re hooked on. Instead you can give your mind and eyes time to rest longer - and set it to record. Then, you can pick up and watch the recorded version of the show (be cautious of spoiler alerts) while on the treadmill getting some cardio in at the gym the following day.
Be Active
Speaking of getting in some cardio, studies show that we are causing more harm to our bodies as we sit in office chairs for so many hours today - than we ever were before. In fact some have even compared the ill effects of sitting for prolonged periods of time to the same harm cigarettes once had many years ago on smokers who were unaware of all the risks.
The good news is getting just enough movement in for the body to stay healthy isn’t too hard with so many health and fitness centers, workout dvds or good the old outdoors at our disposal. Getting in movement can also improve circulation, which helps stimulate hair follicles to grow.
Nourish Your Body
In addition to sitting around more and sleeping less hours at night, we’ve also become a world that eats terribly. With so many additives and processed foods created to peak our taste buds and make the food portion of our day cheaper and easier (think fast food joints) - its no wonder illness and obesity issues run rampant.
Clean eating must become the norm. This means adding in vegetable and fruits in their most original form - which are filled with vitamins and nutrients to keep our bodies healthy and strong. Foods rich in iron, potassium and zinc for example, deliver minerals needed to carry out many functions and protect the immune system.
Even if you are eating well you can still add more vitamins and nutrients with a daily multivitamin - or many are even turning to Tea regimens today as a way to help cleanse and nourish the system.
A cleansing teatox, such as Tiny Tea (available in 14 or 28 day programs as well as in a gluten-free formula) from YourTea.com, promises to help with weight loss, energy levels and more. That means greater chances of getting out and being active, and regulating your system so the rest of your body can react positvely. In fact, Teatoxes, such a this Tiny Tea organic blend of Chinese teas, are helpful in cleansing out our systems by removing toxins, boosting immunity and increasing skin health. Better overall functioning of the body, for someone who is suffering from hair loss due to stress and poor eating, can make a world of difference.
