Hair Loss & the iPhone 6

The highly anticipated and sought after iPhone 6 made its debut a few weeks ago and has continued to own news headlines - but not always for great reasons.

As with any release of the iPhone, there are groups of those who will test every nook and cranny of the device and its operating to make sure it truly is up to par with the elite Apple’s image.

And as such, there have already been reports of issues with the many workings of the new iPhone.  One of the most popular, and that even stemmed a hoax was ‘bendgate’ the issue that the iPhone was so thin it could bend and potentially snap in your pocket. This spurred a slew of test it out in person videos being taken at Apple stores to dispel the myth.

The other shunned Apple for possibly excluding women from its new HealthKit app because it lacked a calculator or calendar to track menstrual cycles. As a device that was touted to allow users to track everything in life from use of their inhalers to blood alcohol levels - something as important as the monthly cycle of women some say, should have not been an afterthought.

Now, it seems the device has become privy to yet another possible ‘scandal’ this one being called  #HairGate.

This latest complaint is already making its rounds on popular social media posts and is being sparked by complaints that the tiny gap that exists between the aluminum case and glass of the  iPhone 6 Plus are actually snagging on and yanking out hair for some users - manly those with hipsters beards - during calls.

Whether or not this is something Apple is taking seriously, this reporter is not sure - however it is a fact that over time small ripping out of hair and abuse on the hair follicle, may not bode well in the journey to end hair loss.
