Boost Your Immune System to Curb Hair Loss?

Whenever cold season inches around the corner or people talk about having an illness of some sort, our immune system becomes the main subject of focus to combat. That's because our immune system is seen as the central control board to the health and functioning of our overall systems.

When an immune system is poor or weakened, that's when illnesses and diseases are most likely to attack.

So to combat the possibility of succumbing to illness many of us focus on boosting our immune systems with better rest and more vitamins.

But new studies show we shouldn't be just focusing on our immune system during germ season.

One report quotes the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre as saying there is a connection between our immune system and hair loss.

This is also according to a study that is published in the online science journal PLOS Biology.

The correlation is related to how the body reacts to stimulation of the skin cells which causes hair growth, and was reportedly stumbled upon accidentally.

A white blood cell known as Macrophages help make this happen thanks to a process called apoptosis.

While there still is lots of work to do to prove the theory many who suffer from hair loss are hopeful that new research will finally help put an end to the issue.

Other possible solutions for those who currently suffer from hair loss other than a hair transplant, include over the counter approved medications like Rogaine or the use of wearable technologies like laser helmets.
