Stopping Hair Loss in its Tracks
News headlines have been roaring lately with information on
which celebrity may have gotten a hair transplant, or which looks like to be
the next victim of hair loss. There have also been numerous studies and
research reports released about what might be behind hair loss, and what can be
done to treat it. All of it is speculation still.
Many people are still suffering in silence with hair loss, or trying to do
their best to use remedies out there to reverse hair loss.
Unless you are a candidate for hair transplant surgery and
can shell out the dough for it, chances are over the counter remedies, Holistic
attempts or maybe purchasing a wearable gadget will be your resolve.
There are other things people who are noticing their hair
start to thin, can do to possibly help stop it in its tracks. A Biz News report
recently looked over some of the possible treatments out there.
The first is a drug called Finasteride that is used to help
stop progression of hair loss for those who are suffering due to genetics. Its
been used for about fifteen years and it has helped many who took it early
enough when they started to notice hair loss to stop it in its tracks.
Then there is also the long used drug Minoxidil that was
first created in the ‘50s to help people with high blood pressure. Once it was
discovered to also help with hair growth, in the 80’s they resold it as a
lotion and it became one of the best known hair loss treatments on the shelves.
This differs a bit from the first drug mentioned, which helps to stop
loss early on - this instead helps with growth where hair has been lost.
To really make a winning combination and give a best shot at
getting back a full head of hair, the news report suggests using the two
medicines together.
