Women Suffer More with Hair Loss

The topic of hair loss is never an easy one to discuss. For people who are experiencing it, the topic gets even touchier. While the reasons for hair loss can be widespread, it without-a- doubt hits the female population a bit more due to societal norms of beauty.

Men still suffer and feel the shame and embarrassment that comes with hair loss, but for many a simple solution like wearing a hat when they leave the house, or shaving it all off ‘Vin Diesel - style’ ends up working out well.

For women it’s not as easy to do. And it becomes even more compounded when a special event, such as a wedding is coming up. Who doesn't want to look their absolute best for their special day?

Long hair has been associated with beauty and health. But what happens when you start to see it thinning out, or bigger clumps are falling out in your hair brush. Other than the first logical step to talk to a doctor if this isn't the result of illness or another factor you’re aware of, is to start looking at your health including the foods you eat and your stress levels.

Getting these aspects of your life in check can, believe it or not, help with hair loss troubles. Other options aside from hair transplant surgery include laser treatments (sometimes offered via an at-home wearable device) or even hair extensions that can safely be clipped into the hair to help give it the appearance of fuller locks.

The more permanent option would be hair transplant surgery. Aside from costs, the surgery is the only permanent solution and uses grafts of hair follicles from other donor areas then surgical transplants them into the trouble areas on the scalp.

Either route - whether permanent, or a quick fix, can go a long way in helping women regain their confidence and make it through a special day without agonizing over hair loss.
