Hair Club Opens New Hair Restoration Center in Ottawa
Earlier in February, the company announced its Canadian business expansion plan with five new center openings slated for 2012.
As part of this expansion, Hair Club had opened a center in downtown Toronto in February. It also appointed Dr. Jeff Donovan, M.D., Ph.D, to its Hair Club Medical Group. Dr. Donovan, certified by the American Board of Dermatology and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, will oversee Hair Club Medical Group procedures throughout all Canadian centers in Ontario.
The Ottawa center will have bilingual staff to support the new clients in the region.
The business expansion coincides with the company's 35th anniversary celebrations.
"Hair Club celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2011, marking major business milestones, including two new business center openings in North America," said Hair Club CEO Darryll Porter. "This year, we are excited to maintain this momentum and increase our presence in the Canadian market with the opening of five brand new centers."
Currently Hair Club operates through 99 locations throughout North America. In Canada, the company two locations in Toronto in addition to five other centers located in Vancouver, Calgary, Mississauga, Halifax, and now Ottawa.
Further the company is scheduled to open new center locations in Winnipeg, Burlington and Edmonton later this year.
Dr. Donovan is both an experienced dermatologist and hair transplant physician. His areas of specialization include hair transplantation and the treatment of complex presentations of hair loss.
Dr. Donovan received his Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of Toronto. He is pursuing research and education programs related to hair loss. Dr. Donovan has also been recognized for his research endeavors and leadership by a number of prominent organizations, including The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery.
